Boshkung Lake, known among locals as “Big Boshkung”, is located in Algonquin Highlands region.  Sandi Beaches cottage is situated on the western shores of the lake, about a 10 minute drive to the town of Carnarvon and about 20 minutes to Minden.  The word Boshkung can be loosely translated to “a place of grassy meadows”.  It is said that the narrows area, where Boshkung Lake flows into Little Boshkung, was one area where the Indigenous people farmed.  The lake also has a history of logging, children’s camp and, in more recent history, a popular cottage destination for city dwellers to escape to on balmy summer days.

Sandi Beaches is located on a private road, situated on a 1.5 acre lot and set back from the waterfront, so privacy is never an issue. The property is adjacent to 200 acres of crown land filled with winding walking trails through majestic hardwoods and white pine trees, all for your exploration.
